Although not officially sanctioned, citizens of the historic town of Twillingate have proclaimed it as the Iceberg Capital of the World! Come and see the annual parade of massive icebergs making our area a photographer’s dream. The picturesque town, rugged coastline, and unparalleled hospitality are just some of the reasons why visitors from all over the globe come to our scenic town. Discover mist-draped cliffs with inspiring views, quaint fishing villages, our historic lighthouse and friendly people. Twillingate is also the home of North America’s largest population of humpbacks, seabirds and yet both the sea and shores remain pristine and enchanting.
On behalf of our Mayor, staff and our other proud citizens, we invite you to visit and extend a heartwarming welcome to you. We thank you for making our historic community one of your destination stops.
Please check our community profile for further information on our town.

The summer of 2007 was another banner year for the flow of massive icebergs along the coastline of Twillingate. And, early summer 2008 provided an abundance of the white mountains...another photographers paradise. 2008 Iceberg Photos

A local citizen captures natures beauty.
Jeanie (Virginia) Young has captured the Twillingate harbour scene for the past several years, all on March first of each year.

Special thanks to Jeanie Young for submitting the scenic photos of Twillingate Harbour, which she has been capturing for more than ten years.
