The Fish, Fun & Folk Festival takes place annually during the last full weekend in July and is one of the largest and longest running folk festivals in the province of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Festival is proud of its world-wide recognition and success celebrating the culture of Newfoundland & Labrador as it's done for over the past 30 plus years.

The festival's celebrations start with a parade through town. Traditional costumes and floats are on display with the R.C.S.C.C. Briton Sea Cadets taking the lead.
Traditional Newfoundland music, fireworks, folk music, adult dances, a street dance, fireworks, bonfire, craft fair, games, a variety of fish meals, special church services, children's show and much more is the norm.
One of the most appreciated events of festival time is the return visits of family and friends that live away. There is no shortage of food, drink and house parties!
