this is one of the largest and longest running folk festivals in the province of Newfoundland & Labrador

The festival's celebrations start with a parade through town. Traditional costumes and floats are on display with the R.C.S.C.C. Briton Sea Cadets taking the lead.

Traditional Newfoundland music, fireworks, folk music, adult dances, a street dance, fireworks, bonfire, craft fair, games, a variety of fish meals, special church services, children's show and much more is the norm.
